A MAN charged with stealing £5,000 worth of jewellery after burgling an Uxbridge home is to face trial at crown court.

A SCHOOL hosted a summer fair with a difference as part of its centenary celebrations.

AN off-duty fireman who helped save the life of a shopper suffering a heart attack is to be honoured with a bravery award.

Keith Walsh, a firefighter based at Heathrow station, leapt into lifesaving action while shopping at The Chimes in Uxbridge High Street last August.

Now almost a year on, he is being recognised with the Chief Constable's Commendation for Bravery.

A FORMER filmmaker who became a lecturer at Uxbridge College has been fondly remembered by his colleagues.
