Two assaults at Brunel University

Posted by Dan Coombs on Oct 30, 09 02:08 PM in Crime

TWO assaults have took place outside the grounds of Brunel University this week.

The first took place on Tuesday at 4am, with a man taken to hospital by paramedics.

The second occured during busy rush hour on Wednesday at 5.45pm, where a man in his 20s was left unconscious and taken to hospital after being set upon by a group of attackers.

It is unclear at this stage whether or not the attacks are linked, but the escalation in violence has shocked those living in the area.

One resident, who asked not to be named, said: "There's a bad underlying feeling around here, things have been building up and it is spiralling out of control."

What exactly is that supposed to mean? Bad feeling about what?
Come on Mr Coombs, if you're going to write a report, at least finish it!

It has nothing to do with Brunel, like the residents like to make out it is. It's happeneing all over the Cowley area....a dump going down hill fast!

i live in cowley and am sick of the students. constant partys, alcohol binging and group gatherings in an area of at least 10 - 20 at anytime. parking where ever they want to, with no consideration to residents and none have any respect when they are approached. i will agree with chelsea girl about the area going down hill, but i think it has alot to do with criminals being all put into an area where the local authorities know where they are!! tesco garage now has beggers!!!
