A DANCE troupe from Uxbridge have emerged victorious from the world championships by winning the top prize.

Futunity UK, who are based in Harefield Road, Uxbridge, travelled to Blackpool for the 2009 UDO World Street Dance Championships.

The 24 member team were aged from 10 years to 27 years old and they wowed the judges with their Kryptonian Routine.

Profiling their athletic prowess alongside their enviable dancing skills, the team excelled in all areas, enthralling the audience with gravity defying stunts.

The judging panel, consisting some of the world leading choreographers were stunned with Futunity's performance and along with the audience, gave them a standing ovation.
Over the weekend Futunity's success was not limited to the team competition.

Molly Evans and Terri- Marie Rose claimed first place in the over 18 Intermediate Duo whilst Nicole McDonnell and Cherii Carroll came in third.

In addition to this, Jack Saunders and Sophie Vitorino placed a credible fifth in their category.
