Traffic chaos as car crashes in Hercies Road

Posted by Dan Coombs on Sep 10, 09 03:20 PM in Local Authority

A WOMAN had to be cut out of her car and taken to hospital after losing control and crashing it yesterday.

The crash happened at 5.20pm last night with all three emergency vehicles attending the scene at Hercies Road, Uxbridge.

Firefighters had to cut her from the wreckage of her blue Ford Fusion, and she was taken to hospital, where her injuries are not suspected to be life threatening.

The car lost control and ran over the embankment, damaging a stationary post, near the junction with Honeycroft Hill, Uxbridge.

The road, close to the A40, was closed off for over an hour until 6.30pm, delaying drivers on their way to the England match at Wembley, and on their way home from Middlesex's cricket match with Kent.

An eyewitness said: "Every road leading out of Uxbridge was blocked, I've never seen anything like it."

We'd like to hear from you.
