THE first students at a new university in town settled in straight away and had a warm welcome on Monday.

Bucks New University opened up a new campus in Oxford Road, Uxbridge, for new nursing students.

Professor David Sines, pro vice chancellor, said: "Our new location enables students to be closer to their placement providers and workplaces.

"We provide nurse education for both NHS London and NHS South Central and are looking forward to working even more closely with the NHS Trusts in the area."

Two of the first students to arrive were Elizabeth Akinyemi who will be studying Mental Health Nursing and Laltanpuii Paine, who will be studying Adult Nursing, and both were welcomed personally by Prof Sines.

We'd like to hear from you.
