Uxbridge man to stand trial

AN UXBRIDGE man is to stand trial for attempted rape and robbery.

Yakub Aziz, 23, of New Road, Uxbridge, is accused of attacking a woman, aged in her 20s, at her Camden flat on March 17.

Westminster Magistrates' Court heard how Aziz stood accused of sexually assaulting the woman before demanding cash and leaving the flat.

He is charged with one count of attempted rape, four of sexual assault and one of robbery.

He was remanded in custody until a hearing at Southwark Crown Court on January 14.
