FANS of the Grand Canal can learn about and compare it to waterways in Poland when an expert guest speaker visits Uxbridge.

The Middlesex branch of the Inland Waterways Association will hold an illustrated talk at Hillingdon Canal Club, Waterloo Road, Uxbridge on Tuesday, October 14.

The speaker is Roger Squires and guests are invited to get to the club for an 8pm start time.

DISABLED residents or their friends and family will be able to chat to Hillingdon MPs at a special meeting on October 10.

The Disablement Association of Hillingdon (DASH) have arranged the get together with the borough's MPS
at Christ Church, Redford Way, Uxbridge at 10am until midday and offers a unique chance for disabled people to get their voices heard.

The venue is fully accessible with a loop system and signer, if there are any enquiries please call 02088488319.
