FREE advice to help prepare companies for an emergency is on offer.
Hillingdon Council has organised the November 5 event at The Arena, in Stockley Park, West Drayton.
The day of advice, which starts at 10am, will include showing businesses how to be prepared for an emergency and a question and answer session with emergency service workers.

Social Buddies is a fun and friendly group that has been running since September 2007. Members are in the 30 to early 50s age range and live in Middlesex and surrounding areas.
They have a regular pub social on the first Thursday of every month at The Gate, Rickmansworth Road, Northwood, from 8.30pm. They also have many other events each month and recently these have included greyhound racing, Jack the Ripper London walk, pub meals, comedy nights, live music, theatre and charity events.
Members are free to submit events and to co-ordinate them or purely come along to planned events.
Membership is currently free.

THERE will be a chance to raise money for diabetes at an upcoming quiz night in Uxbridge.
The quiz night will take place at the Battle of Britain Club, Hillingdon Road, Uxbridge, on Saturday, October 25.

AN APPRENTICE from Uxbridge has beaten off thousands of young hopefuls to win gold at Britain's biggest skills competition, Skillbuild.
David Hibbert, who is employed at Kovara Projects Ltd in Reading, competed in the Roof Sheeting and
Cladding category at the competition in Birmingham.
He said: "I was really nervous, my heart was pounding and I didn't think we'd win as I didn't feel confident. I think the win will definitely improve my confidence, plus it keeps the boss happy!"
THE public are invited to a free lunchtime concert at Brunel University on Friday, October 10.
The performance will be by Eileen Pinkarchevski (soprano) and Sally Goodworth (piano).
It is called 'Nachte und Traume' and is about the world of night and dreams.
Ms Pinkarchevski's recent operatic roles include 'Carmen' and Mozart's 'Countess'.
It will be held in the Roberts Room, Floor 3, in the Lecture Centre at Brunel at 1.10pm until 1.50pm.
FOR those inspired by Strictly Come Dancing, the perfect opportunity to take up dancing is available in Uxbridge.
A salsa club will hold a beginners and improvers class on Thursday, October 9 at the Water's Edge, Packet Boat Lane, Uxbridge.
Entrance price is £6 or £4 for students with NUS cards.
The beginners class runs from 8-9pm and the improvers class runs from 9-9.40pm.
The classes take place in the Tudor Suite above the bar, which is open until 1am.

WATCHING a Flamenco dance performance and taking an opportunity to learn yoga are just two of the many ways visitors can celebrate the upcoming World Mental Health Day.
A day of activities will be providedpn Friday, 10 October at the Civic Centre, Uxbridge, and will be topped off by a talk about mental health issues from an award winning author.
Martin Townsend, editor of the Sunday Express, will be talking to visitors about his book 'The Father I had', winner of the Mind book awards, which is about his experiences of living with a father who had bi-polar disorder.
He will be signing copies and there will be opportunities to buy his book for substantially discounted prices.
The programme of the days events will kick off at 12.30pm with activities beginning at 2pm.
They include an Asian women's drama presentation, from Hillingdon Mind, and presentations of personal journeys of mental well-being, from Hayes Conversation and Citizen Group.
Phil Kenny, Counselling Manager at Hillingdon Mind, who are helping organise the day, said: "We are hoping to get well over 100 people come along, it is a great annual event, and a great chance to educate people about mental illnesses."
Art exhibitions will also be on display and there will also be a creative writing workshop taking place.
The more active can take part in the yoga taster sessions, and for those that get out of breath just from watching, the Flamenco dance performance will provide an energetic and entertaining display.
Martin Townsend will talk about his book from 5.30pm before closing remarks at 6.15pm from Ted Hill, Director of Hillingdon Associaion of Voluntray Services (HAVS).
The events will take place in Committee Rooms four and five at the Civic Centre and there will be refreshments available throughout the day.

FANS of the Grand Canal can learn about and compare it to waterways in Poland when an expert guest speaker visits Uxbridge.
The Middlesex branch of the Inland Waterways Association will hold an illustrated talk at Hillingdon Canal Club, Waterloo Road, Uxbridge on Tuesday, October 14.
The speaker is Roger Squires and guests are invited to get to the club for an 8pm start time.

A FIRE broke out in Nandos in Uxbridge High Street leading to the closure of the Chimes Shopping Centre.
The incident happened this morning where two fire engines attended the scene.
The fire is under control but police have sealed off the shopping centre and part of the high street near the restaurant for safety reasons.
