Bowling green for Fassnidge Park

A NEW bowls green in Uxbridge has been given a provisional green light by the Hillingdon Council.

The decision to allocate funds to the project at Fassnidge Park was given the go ahead by an Environmental Improvements Panel at the Civic Centre, Uxbridge.

It is estimated the new bowls green will cost £56,000 and was only given the last minute go ahead after funding for a play area at Bosanquet Close, Uxbridge, had to be withdrawn.

It is aimed that the new green will be ready in time for the new season next year, and work is expected to begin almost immediately.
